Can you imagine turning 100? A centennial birthday is no small feat, and Gucci knows that. So, to celebrate the brand’s 100th birthday, Alessandro Michele brings us the Gucci Garden Archetypes—an immersive multi-sensory experience for all of us to enjoy.
Known for his maximalist style and eye-catching designs, it’s no doubt that Alessandro Michele has provided Gucci with some of the best and most creative campaigns to date. In Gucci Garden Archetypes, we get to see the designer’s kaleidoscopic vision since he was appointed creative director for the brand in 2015. “I thought it was interesting to accompany people in these first six years of adventure, inviting them to cross the imaginary, the narrative, the unexpected, the glitter,” shares Alessandro Michele. ”So, I created a playground of emotions that are the same as in the campaigns, because they are the most explicit journey into my imagery.”
Designed by Archive Personale, the space was transformed into the world of Gucci through cutting-edge technology, elaborate hand-crafting, and innovative interior design. Inside, 15 iconic Gucci campaigns come to life. From Gucci Beauty’s lipstick campaign for the “bold, bright, and beautiful” to the floral paradise of Gucci Bloom, the creative space is a celebration of the work of Alessandro Michele for Gucci.
Not only will you enjoy an out-of-this-world experience, you can get your hands on the Limited Edition Gucci Garden fragrance too! It’s the brand’s first limited edition fragrance, with only 1,000 bottles of it made. The new scent represents the Gucci Garden
—floral and sweet. It’s crafted with broom flower, violet, and benzoin, giving you an one of a kind fragrance.Of course, the celebration doesn’t end there, as the Gucci Garden Archetypes catalog will be the continuation of this immersive experience. It will feature a collection of images and surprises, alongside original texts by personalities of the cultural scene such as Achille Bonito Oliva, Emanuele Coccia, and Anna Franceschini, to name a few.
While the Gucci Garden Archetypes won’t be making its way to the Philippines, you can still explore Gucci’s creative space through a virtual tour that will be available online. Partnering with Roblox, the fashion house brings Gucci Garden for virtual visitors.
