Inventing Anna was just released on Netflix over the weekend. If you’re anything like the million viewers who watched the limited series, then you’ve probably just finished binge watching it. For those of you who are still in the middle of it, don’t worry we won’t be spoiling anything on this article. Maybe just a few of her fabulous looks.
These outfits were carefully curated by costume designer, Lyn Paolo, who is Shonda Rhimes’ go-to person for almost all her shows under Shondaland. He did his job beautifully by pulling out pieces that were identical, if not exactly the same looks that the real Anna Delvey (née Sorokin) wore during her time in New York. Plus, you have a rising fashion icon, Julia Garner, pulling off each look effortlessly. It was really such a treat for fashion lovers everywhere. That’s why we’ve compiled 5 of our favorite looks from Netflix’s newest limited series, Inventing Anna.
1. Fashion Week
At the very start of the series, we’re introduced to the fashionable side of Anna Delvey. In the series she was seen attending New York Fashion Week in a draped off-the-shoulder blush pink dress by Jonathan Simkhai and sparkling statement earrings by Oscar de la Renta.
2. Trip to Ibiza
This look is arguably the most liked outfit in Inventing Anna. Lyn Paolo was praised for dressing Julia Garner in a red off-the-shoulder Alexander McQueen dress, Aquazzura heels, Christian Dior sunglasses, and a top-handle beach bag.
3. 281 Park Avenue
Even during a business meeting, Anna Delvey made sure to showcase her fashion prowess. She wore a houndstooth cape by Red Valentino over an Alexis dress. She finished off the look with a red Dior Lady bag.
4. Socialite Soirée
When networking for the ADF (Anna Delvey Foundation), Anna would take the structured route in dressing without compromising her love for the arts. She matched a silk-blend midi dress by Dolce & Gabbana with a floral jacquard detail blazer by Dolce & Gabbana.
5. Paris Fiasco
Lyn Paolo was subtle about the brand consciousness in Anna Delvey’s wardrobe. He made sure to add logo filled pieces to complete Anna’s storyline of projected wealth. During her trip to Paris, she wore a white leather bag from Gucci, a blue scarf from Christian Dior, and Granville embroidered cotton wedge espadrilles from Christian Dior.
