With its legacy passed on to generations of sellers and consumers, Rustan’s continues its pursuit of providing quality products for Filipinos.

Entering a Rustan’s department store is like a hug of comfort from a friend or an encouraging smile of a grandparent. It gives you a warm, pleasant feeling that no one else comes to replicating. Ask your parents or your grandparents, and they would probably share the same story as you did.

Why? Because you are shopping in the lap of luxury at Rustan’s.

The History of Rustan’s

Gliceria “Glecy” Rustia-Tantoco was a woman of taste who knew the best high-end brands. Her knowledge for what was made with utmost standard fueled her to envision something bigger for the people in the country.

Seven decades ago, she dreamed of sharing her appreciation for quality brands across the globe to her fellow countrymen. She—along with her husband Bienvenido “Benny” Tantoco Sr.—made it a mission to bring their vision of a homegrown brand providing the finest, world class brands, products, and service alive. Hence, Rustan’s was born.

The impact of the luxury department store can be seen in its cross-generational relevance, but there is so much history to the brand. Because of Glecy Rustia-Tantoco, brands like Christian Dior, Lacoste, and Charriol were able to establish their presence in the country.

The contribution of Rustan’s in elevating the Filipino’s retail experience extends to events that promote available brands from their selection.

The Future of Rustan’s

In celebration of its 70 years, Rustan’s launches the “Your Story Is Our Story” campaign, where patrons can share their very own “Rustan’s story”.

Aside from that, in-store events, promotions, and the launch of new brands and collaborations await each customer. The best part is the online anniversary sale!

Also, with the upgrade of the Makati flagship store, Rustan’s truly continues to refine its service for every Filipino.

70 years ago, my mother Glecy had a vision to bring the most luxurious and exciting brands to the Philippines – something that had never been done before.  Today her legacy is still alive, and the boundaries that she broke ensure that we still offer only the top brands, only the finest products and only the best service.  We are who we are because of her, alongside our ever-loyal customers who are such an entwined part of our Rustan’s story.  Our promise is to constantly pursue how we can continue to make the everyday special for them, and the seemingly ordinary, extraordinary.
