After three long days of glamour and style, BYS Fashion Week officially comes to an end with these final shows.
A celebration of individuality marked the third and last day of BYS Fashion Week. Headlined by Issa Pressman, Cruz Manila and Thian Rodriguez—the night was all about self-expression and recognizing one’s uniqueness through style.
The first brand to present their newest collection on the BYS runway was I S S A. In 2020, actress, artist, and singer Issa Pressman launched her very own clothing line, debuting with a selection of scarves with designs she made herself. After two years, the brand’s latest collection now features her very own artistry inspired by cities she recently visited: London, Seoul, Mykonos, and Tel Aviv.

The show was opened by a dance performance by A Team, which was then followed by the actual fashion presentation where models were clad in the designer’s pieces styled in a wide variety of ways, such as bandana tops, skirts, and dresses. Issa’s sister Yassi, who walked down the runway in a svelte corset with a billowing skirt featuring the younger Pressman’s scarves, closed the show.
Afterwards, the attendees were left wanting to see and experience more. The production team quickly transformed the venue into a grunge-inspired street-like stage where the next show was about to take place. Similar to I S S A, CRUZ, a homegrown brand by Kyle Cruz, also celebrated its first fashion show during BYS Fashion Week.
To live up to his brand’s DNA, Cruz filled his new line with structured silhouettes in neutral tones, as well as various colored textures or fabrics like leather, velvet, and sequins. With every single piece that was shown, CRUZ definitely embodied the concept of genderless clothing as the models were dressed in his designs made for everyone, no matter their social expression.
To end the three-day BYS Fashion Week, the final designer to showcase their designs was Thian Rodriguez. The Philippine-based independent designer has made waves during the past few years. This time around, he was ready to bring edgier looks to light for his latest show with BYS.
Throughout the show, models walked one by one in eccentric pieces that consisted of tiered tulle gowns, two-piece sets with zippered compartments, and leather hardware paired with metal studs or chains. Right when the attendees thought the show has ended, Nadine Lustre made an appearance as the final model to strut down the runway in a full fringe skirt, studded leather bralette, and bleached eyebrows. Truly, an iconic way to end three days of fashion with BYS.
