Kim Chiu made headlines during the show’s finale not only for her hosting skills, but also for her stunning looks by Filipino designers
Fresh from her “Best Female TV Host” win at the 35th PMPC Star Awards, Kim Chiu took on her hosting role yet again for the Dream Maker finale last February 12. Fans and viewers alike praised the host for her skills, as well as empathized with her emotional farewell at the end.

Kim even got the attention of Korean entertainment media outlet Dispatch, prompting them to report on the actress’ charming aura. Describing her as a “femme fatale with her unconventional charm,” the online media site highlighted Kim’s looks. As the show championed Filipino talent with the new boy group HORI7ON, the solo host also brought Filipino pride on stage with her performance and style.
With the help of stylist Adrianne Concepcion, Kim donned a number of head turning ensembles for the finale. Here’s a breakdown of her proudly Filipino-made outfits that night:
Classic opening regalia
Kim welcomed the fans and viewers with a two-piece Neric Beltran creation. Beltran is an expert on intricate detailing on his pieces, with Kim’s white and gold ensemble not an exemption to that. The gold touch in the embellishments and fringe were common elements in a K-Pop fit. The protruding shoulder pads were also a nice touch to the whole girl group-like effect.
Suited for performance
For her “Odd Eye” performance with the Dream Chasers, the host donned a full-on red suit by designer Jot Losa. From dresses and gowns to suits, Losa has mastered the art of form and structure when it comes to his designs. Meanwhile, K-Pop fans noticed that Kim’s striking charm was similar to EXO member Kai during the Love Shot era.
Feathered to perfection
Kim’s last look for the night was a feathered frock from Mark Bumgarner’s Spring-Summer 2022 collection. Always bringing out his female clients’ feminine allure, Mark loves playing with various frills and fabrics. Kim has always been a fan of pink, feathers, and bows, which were all part of the dress. Truly, it was the perfect way to cap off her looks for the night.
