Gianna Llanes
Gianna’s road to her career as a sports reporter started out in her family after a joint interest in sports. From being an athlete, she is now on the court helping the audience interpret game statistics, as well as interviewing different athletes and sports enthusiasts for their stories to share. In her Instagram post, she has spoken up how joining Binibining Pilipinas gave her more platform to tell her own journey in sports. “Through sports, I’ve learned mental toughness, dedication to your craft, and the true definition of ‘winning,’” she said in her caption.
Jeanne Bilasano
In a country where communication matters now more than ever, Jeanne chose to pursue a career in speech pathology. Speech pathologists like herself cater to individuals of all ages, and aid in managing and treating speech and language problems. Using her pageant stint to raise awareness of her profession, the Binibining Pilipinas candidate hopes that more people can join her field to pave the way for better access to health care.
Anje Manipol
Farmers are one of the most hardworking members of our society. Yet every day, they face different challenges and struggles such as lack of support, land grabbing, and unjust treatment. As an agriculturist herself, Anje is using her platform to shed light on not only what our farmers need, but also what they deserve. On her Instagram, she wrote, “As an agricultural extension worker, we help farmers to have access to new information, [and] give projects and technical advice that will improve their farm management skills. […] Seeing how hardworking our farmers [are] inspires me to help them more and share their stories with other people.”
Anna Lakrini
From those who put food on our table, we go to the ones who study food for the society. Binibining Pilipinas candidate Anna Lakrini is a proud nutritional scientist with a deep concern for the nutrition of children. With her joining the pageant, she was able to spearhead a feeding program in Tondo and start her goal towards the promotion of proper nutrition for Filipinos.
Paulina Labayo
Expressing one’s thoughts and emotions through art can be a life-changing experience. It is a form that brings happiness to both the giver and the receiver. Understanding the importance of art in one’s life, Paulina uses her dancing expertise to teach ballet to children. Aside from mastering the craft, she hopes that they will also build confidence and develop their character through this art form. In fact, she even brought the impact of dance in her life during their talent showcase for Binibining Pilipinas.
