Y.O.U Beauty graced the MEGA Ball, capturing the radiant looks of A-list personalities, beauty queens, and digital content creators
“I believe, every day, you should have at least one exquisite moment.” These are the words of the style muse known for beauty and elegance that is timeless, Audrey Hepburn, in Sabrina (1954). Such a quote refers to the time spent in seasons’ changing, learning, and ends and beginnings. For this year’s MEGA Ball A-listers, the most significant moments recall back to the Rigodon Ballroom and Salon de Ning, and Y.O.U Beauty simply did not let these slip away in time.
On June 12, 2023, the international beauty brand captured the attendees’ glorious grandeur in yet again another unparalleled photo vignette, adorned with rose-colored flowers, candles, and gold trinkets. With that, Y.O.U Beauty released the Most Radiant Faces of the Night that they spotted, where celebrities, digital content creators, and designers alike made their Top 10 appearance.
Read on to see them in gorgeous ensembles inspired by the gala’s motif: fusion of art and fashion.
Janeena Chan
Pearls, instead of diamonds, were Janeena Chan’s best friend at the MEGA Ball with luminescent beads creating a fairy core charm to the white cut-out dress by Ushisato. From arms and shoulders to eyes and hair, she was also bedazzled with stick-on pearls, and her stunning blue eyeshadow added an extra flair.
Jessica Yang
Serving an opulent glam of deep purple gloves and silk drape sleeves, Manila-based Taiwanese model Jessica Yang donned a beaded see-through dress by Bonita Peñaranda. Her look was inspired by Ursula’s beautiful human alter ego Vanessa from the Little Mermaid (2023).
Vern and Verniece Enciso
Vern Enciso-Lim came through with a champagne-colored gown by Neric Beltran, complemented by a white sleeve cathedral-length train. Meanwhile, the Meteorette by Cheetah Rivera worn by her younger sister Verniece Enciso-Dichaves (right) is made in sequined layers and adorned with Swarovski crystals.
Mavy Legaspi, Kyline Alcantara, Bianca Umali, and Chris Nick
Chris Nick and his male and female muses Mavy Legaspi, Kyline Alcantara, and Bianca Umali embraced the daring grunge look with subtle smokey eyes, sleek hairdos, and a rockstar attitude. All wore a black ensemble of suits and mini black dress to fit the classic art look of MEGA Ball.
Gab Pangilinan, Anthony Rosaldo, Topper Fabregas, and Paw Castillo
The young casts of the play Ang Huling El Bimbo (2023), personified the Filipino art and culture—with Gab Pangilinan wearing a cocktail Filipiñana dress by Santi Obcena, Topper Fabregas the blue Salasag terno jacket also by Santi Obcena, Anthony Rosaldo an indigenous weaving-inspired suit by Ryan Chris, and Paw Castillo a burnt siena suit pants by Bonsai Cielo.
Reese Tayag
Sereese Beauty Founder and CEO Reese Tayag absolutely killed it with the dainty and iridescent Secrets of Metamorphosis piece by Errhan Montoya. The pink and blue color palette that created the dreamy illusion matched not only her brand’s identity, but also her golden skin tone.
Acee Sayson-Paita
Youthful, healthy, and strong, Juju Glow CEO Acee Sayson-Paita graced the Y.O.U Beauty photo vignette as a modern Filipina. She definitely took a moment to resurrect the classic through the cropped Filipiñana terno by Louis Pangilinan, which was ornamented with silvery details.
Mandy Romero
The Philippines’ moniker “Pearl of the Orient Seas” speaks of the country’s rich culture and natural beauty. Filipino humanitarian Mandy Romero evoked that same level of elegance and prestige during the MEGA Ball wearing a gown by Axel Que that is blanketed in white and bluish gray pearls.
Rhai Ladesta
Rhai Ladesta of The Monarchy Manila was the epitome of power. Inspired by the Greek goddess Hera, Rhai wore an off-white Serpentina gown by Cev Cendaña—made of satin and hundreds of hand-stitched clear Swarovski crystals, bronze rhinestones, and gold beads.
Carelene Zervoulakos
Arriving more ethereal than ever, Carlene Zervoulakos brought the trend of sheer fabric to this year’s Y.O.U Beauty photo vignette. She is clad in a self-designed maxi tulle dress from Carlene Atelier, with sequins all over the corset giving the blue color a more feminine flair and herself a more ballerina-esque charm.
