Before the second GMA gala commences on July 22, it’s time for us to list down the color trends that we’re predicting to see at the night of the event

On July 22, we are expecting to see a parade of exquisite looks down the red carpet as the stars of GMA celebrate their second gala. We’ve seen the first run last year as artists arrived in their own rendition of the Old Hollywood fashion we all know and love. But this time, a new theme takes place and we’re here to take our guesses on what we should be expecting on Saturday at the Manila Marriott Hotel.

Black and white

It doesn’t matter what the theme is—this color combo will always make an appearance on any occasion. It’s classy, elegant, and sophisticated whatever the finish may be. It has proven its versatility over the years, so we won’t be surprised if the Kapuso stars opt for black and white. We may even see this combo done with clean fabrics, embellished finishes, or sheer pieces. 

Neutrals 

Apart from the classic black and white, a neutral palette has also become a crowd favorite for a while now. We have seen them make their way down a red carpet at a variety of events several times, too, and this is simply because neutrals can simply create an effortless look, especially when the construction is done right. We might see them as figure-hugging pieces or gowns with cut-out details for a trendy finish. 

Mutes and pastels 

If these celebrities are going to incorporate colors, then we’re confident that they’ll do it in an understated manner. Although the trend nowadays is all about the saturated look, you can never go wrong with a palette of toned down colors so it doesn’t clash with the event venue’s decor. We’re eyeing some pastel pink, blue, and purples in the roster while muted shades will be there to balance out the dainty pieces.
