Adding an extra dose of excitement to this already electrifying event is none other than Brian Puspos, a Filipino-American choreographer who has graced the idol’s latest performances, shining a spotlight on the immense Filipino talent.

How his dance journey began
Born and brought up in Texas, this talented choreographer and dance instructor burst onto the scene, instantly captivating audiences with his skills. Together with his group, SoReal Cru, they placed second on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew. Ever since that moment, his moves have captured the public’s attention and never failed to generate buzz across various social media platforms. With unparalleled dedication to his craft, he earned the title of Male Choreographer of the Year in 2012 and 2014, bestowed upon him by the World of Dance. This feat serves as a testament to his abilities and undeniable prowess in the stages of movement and rhythm.
Dance milestones
There’s no denying that Brian has accomplished a great deal in his life. Among his many noteworthy endeavors, one that stands out prominently is his collaboration with BTS. In numerous interviews, he openly expresses his pride in this particular venture. “Out of everyone I have worked with in my dance career, they’re the ones who really stick out to me. I’m a fan, not only of them, but [also] of how hard they work. They put their blood, sweat, and tears into everything they do,” the choreographer shared in one of his virtual conferences. “I can’t say enough good things about their work ethic, which I really respect,” he added. He choreographed some of the group’s songs, including “Butterfly,” “My Time,” and “Serendipity.”
The Texan-born dancer has collaborated with a wide variety of musicians, including Western artists like Marques Houston, Justin Bieber, and Chris Brown, as well as other K-Pop acts including NCT 127 and Henry Lau. This man not only adorns the stage with incredible performances, but also imparts his knowledge and expertise through workshops and teachings. With a global reach that spans over 40 countries, his influence definitely knows no bounds, inspiring aspiring artists around the world.
Joining Jung Kook onstage
For a really 360° occasion, Brian found himself in the spotlight alongside BTS’ “golden maknae.” Six years ago, Jung Kook and his BTS bandmate Jimin performed “Own It,” a choreography made by the award-winning dancer, and the said video gathered over 20 million views. This dance assignment was obviously a blast for the Filipino choreographer. To quote what he posted on Instagram: “When JK asks you to dance, you go and dance!”
In addition to being on the track’s official performance video, he was also given the opportunity to perform with Jungkook on stage in New York City.
Performing in the Philippines
Brian recently graced the Philippines with his presence when he took on the role of dance mentor on Top Class, a P-Pop reality talent show hosted by Catriona Gray. From that experience, he expressed his pride in his heritage. “It means more than anybody could imagine. Although I am from the USA, I am a proud full-blooded Filipino, and I am so honored to be a part of making history and finding the next P-Pop stars. To represent dance at such a high level and to be a proud Filipino on a platform like this is a dream come true,” he said. Brian was joined by Asia’s Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan and Pinoy Rap Superstar Shanti Dope as vocal and rap mentors, respectively.
