From Simone Rocha’s face rose accents to Paco Rabanne’s minimal chrome glam, these are the standout beauty looks from London Fashion Week
The recently concluded London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2024 certainly heightened the instinct for eventful expressions. Honorable guests witnessed the highly-anticipated presentations from established names like JW Anderson, Jil Sander, and Burberry. As for the common house code? Rosettes. On the runway, David Koma incorporated rosettes into a variety of motifs onto the collection’s garments. Elsewhere, Yuhan Wang reimagined the character of Tess Durbeyfield from Tess of the d’Urbervilles through her cottagecore-adjacent pieces.

Of course, alongside every collection is the vast spectrum of directional beauty that commands a second look. From Simone Rocha’s face rosettes to Paco Rabanne’s subtle futuristic glam, here are the standout beauty looks we spotted at the London Fashion Week runways.
Fresh face
It wouldn’t be a show season without an emphasis on radiant and luminous complexions. Take a cue from ERDEM‘s Spring/Summer 2024 beauty direction. On the runway, models came out swinging at Chatsworth House wearing ensembles dedicated to the late Deborah “Debo” Cavendish. As for the glam? The no-makeup look is perfectly tailored to the designer’s vision of skin that looks as if you had been caught in the rain with a beautiful natural glow.
Face rosettes
Simone Rocha is a true master of a whimsical visual feast. Inside the English National Ballet HQ, Rocha’s models presented a series of fresh skin, rosy cheeks, and glossed lips. The standout detail? The face rosettes. Courtesy of Thomas de Kluyver, the makeup artist hand-painted a series of white or blue flowers on the selected cheeks. To say the least, the concept solidifies that whimsical details like rosettes and ribbons are a mainstay for spring.
Rosy blush
The idea of rosy flushed cheeks is quite synonymous with the spring season. At Paul Cosetelloe‘s Spring/Summer 2024 runway for London Fashion Week, the beauty direction is all about the saccharine, pink blush, and soft rose eyeshadow. The rich color also made an appearance in Eudon Choi‘s showcase. Backstage, Adam De Cruz placed pops of delicate peachy blush on the highest key point of the model’s face. Pro tip: To get the look, sweep on a bright-hued product from the end of the eyebrow down to the cheekbone.
Futuristic glam
Metallic color palettes were admittedly few and far between this season. But its presence created a renewed energy on futuristic glam. The conviction was echoed at Masha Popova’s Spring/Summer 2024. Artfully done by Janina Zais, the beauty expert played around the concept of chrome eyeshadows and metallic brick red lipsticks. Elsewhere, Paco Rabanne’s showcase unveiled a wearable version of the look through sheer luminous eyeshadows.
Blurred matte lips
London Fashion Week has cosigned the blurred lip look for the upcoming season. At Erdem Moralioglu’s Spring/Summer 2024, Amy Conway swiped on a punchy red matte lipstick shade on select models. Pro tip: To achieve the look, focus on placing the formula in the center and blend it out towards the edges of the lips. Use a clean lip brush to soften any harsh lines and to create an out-of-focus effect.
