We’re now seeing many iterations of holiday looks as celebrities and personalities from Star Magic arrive in their chosen Christmas-themed outfits at the event’s white carpet. However, it was Andrea Brillantes’ entrance that caught everyone’s attention. The actress came in not just looking like an angel that sits atop a Christmas tree, but with a big white parol on her back, giving the traditional lantern a chic spin—and we have just the details on her look as stylist Eldzs Mejia shares the inspiration behind it.

Collective concept
A decision made with her fellow cast members from the TV series Senior High, they all agreed to come in wearing iconic Christmas symbols, and that is how Blythe ended up with her parol-inspired outfit.
She had on a white mini dress designed by AJ Javier that had actual Christmas garlands on the bust area, as well as the hem. The sheer fabric of her dress gave us a glimpse of the white shorts underneath for a cheeky and playful touch. Accessories like her white gloves and garland-filled heels made the overall ensemble look fresh and young.

As for the pièce de résistance of her outfit, Eldzs expressed that the Christmas lantern is the highlight of her look since it actually lights up. The process behind it was tedious, especially since it was being made with the event just a few days away. The stylist shared, “It was made from scratch and measured for her height and body, made by the same artist who made her aswang wings, Ryan Steez Core.”
There is no doubt that the young actress has always been hands-on with her style, and it goes to show that having a clear vision and a team that fully supports those ideas are essential to one’s execution.
