Three weeks after his first television appearance, Oliver Moeller has officially entered showbiz. But his career is not like what you expect it to be
Fitness. Law. Business. Now, it’s media. With all these passions combined, one can declare Oliver Moeller guilty as charged for two things. First is the willingness to say yes to opportunity. Second, knowing the grit that comes in the pursuit of these things. It only took three weeks for the 32-year-old lawyer to gain supporters, do a dance challenge, get paired with two actresses, and sign a talent contract. But let’s get one thing clear—he is just taking his time with all of this. One day at a time.

As the newest talent of Cornerstone talks to MEGA Entertainment, he reveals his thoughts on his new path, his openness to possibilities, and the two values that, in law and show business, are essential to success—passion and clarity of purpose.
At the witness stand of his own case
Oliver’s first taste of show business is a reality show of sorts, but one that lasted for a segment on It’s Showtime. As one of the prospect dates lined up for the 2023 Miss Universe Philippines Michelle Dee, he did not just earn the “yes” of both the beauty queen and her mother, 1979 Miss International Melanie Marquez but he also stole the hearts of live and virtual audiences with his good looks and insightful answers. Besides Dee, actress-host Kim Chiu was also being paired with Moeller as the two shared Cebu as their hometown. What does Oliver feel about this back-to-back shipping, guestings, and interviews?
“I’m good. It’s a mixture of being overwhelmed, excited, and nervous,” he says. “I’m flattered that people enjoy seeing me. Right now, I’m very fortunate with the position of where I am.”
During the press conference, the Filipino-German fitness enthusiast revealed that ten years ago, Cornerstone founder Erickson Raymundo already saw his potential as an artist. But for Oliver, his showbiz career needed a decade-long warmup before it actually worked out for him. “Sometimes, you just want to take on a new challenge. I just feel like the stars aligned for me in the last three weeks. I’m happy to see what I can do, and take it day by day,” he shares with all honesty.
Objection to their view, your honor
The thought of a lawyer and businessman entering show business seems odd to many, even for someone like Oliver who can easily be mistaken as Piolo Pascual’s brother. Others are particularly concerned about his time to do all these things if one, he is from Cebu; and two, if he is busy working on cases.
His answer? “I guess I’m going to balance it out the only way I know—my normal time management, really focusing on what I want to prioritize at a time. I’ve been balancing my legal career and my time spent with my family, friends, and fitness as well. With a team to support me, I’m pretty sure I’ll figure it out in no time,” he opens up.
Before assumptions and preconceived notions without supporting evidence come to light, Oliver already wants to make it clear: Acting is not his priority right now. At least, not yet. Much like his other passions, he acknowledges the importance of the craft and the process involved in earning that “actor” title. “It isn’t just something you walk into,” he muses. “There are workshops, there are classes. You really need to put in all your time and resources.”
So, what are his plans for now in terms of his artist career? “Right now, I want to focus on content creation and other projects. I have a lot of responsibilities back in Cebu: the family business, my law firm, spending time with my family and friends. Let’s see what happens,” he explains. And should the time come for him to finally get in front of the camera, Oliver has two stars in mind for a future collaboration—Kathryn Bernardo and Piolo Pascual. “If ever I’m fortunate enough that there’s some sort of project with them, then why not?”
An open case of opportunity
So, here’s the truth that Oliver Moeller stands by—he is just taking every step, every opportunity one day at a time.
“Right now, I just want to keep my doors open. I know I’m always going to be dedicated to what I’m doing, whether it’s business, my legal career, or fitness. I’m balancing my responsibilities here and in Manila. People who look up to the industry are just excited, right? And now I’m here to entertain and inspire, so I’ll take it day by day,” he ends, exuding that affirmed sense of self as prominent as his first television appearance, an essential quality for any individual whose stardom is not set on shining the brightest, but in sparking a difference and doing it for a long time. And with that, he wins this case.
