Charlie Dizon Ties the Knot With Carlo Aquino After Her First Gawad Urian Win

Charlie Dizon is thriving in life and love as she brings home both an award and a man home with her Best Actress win and her new role as Mrs. Carlo Aquino

Congratulations are definitely in order for Charlie Dizon whose weekend is definitely a double celebration! Last night, the actress won her first Best Actress accolade at the Gawad Urian Awards 2024 for her performance on Third World Romance. But earlier today, she and fellow actor, Carlo Aquino, also finally tied the knot.

In her acceptance speech, Dizon thanked her now-husband whom she called her “partner and lucky charm.” Aquino also starred in the Dwein Baltazar film. The announcement of their wedding surprised many of their fans and supporters, with a number of them still high on Charlie’s victorious moment the night before. 

In an Instagram post shared by Star Magic, a number of celebrity guests also attended the wedding. Actors Belle Mariano, Kaila Estrada, Alexa Ilacad, Loisa Andalio, and Elisse Joson, Adrian Lindayag, and Ketchup Eusebio posed with the couple as part of the entourage.

Meanwhile, Sue Ramirez also graced the occasion as Charlie’s Maid of Honor, while their principal sponsors include Maricel Soriano, Vilma Santos-Recto, Sylvia Sanchez, Olivia Lamasan, Lauren Dyogi, Carlo Katigbak, Cory Vidanes, and Charo Santos-Concio. “May your marriage be filled with endless love and happiness. Cheers to a wonderful life together!” Santos-Concio wrote in her caption, greeting the couple for their new chapter.

In her back-to-back celebration, the actress sported a sleek bun that showcased her bespoke attires for the respective events. At the 47th Gawad Urian Awards, she wore a baby pink terno with bowed iterations by Jro Alarcio. For her big day in her newest role to date as a wife, she donned an embellished v-neck wedding dress designed by Steph Tan.
