The SoFA runway featured the minds of these young designers, showing their distinct takes on the world and its possibilities
There is a language to fashion. SoFA Design Institute’s Graduation Fashion Show FOREGATHER unveiled a new wave of Filipino design talent. Held at The Fifth at Rockwell, the event saw 20 graduates showcase their distinctive design languages, revealing visions that reflect their personal journeys and unique sensibilities.

The fashion show was a living dialogue between ideas, a blending of voices in different criteria and methods. These 20 designers, hailing from both the 4-Year BA Fashion Design and Marketing program and the 2-Year Fashion Design and Marketing program, introduced collections that spoke volumes of their individual perspectives. The collections were a language of their own, signaling stories of ambition, identity, and experimentation.
Central to SoFA’s philosophy is The SoFA Method, an approach that encourages students to dig deep within themselves to craft designs that reflect their personal truth. The technical prowess goes hand-in-hand with self-discovery, allowing the designers to find their own language—a distinctive voice that speaks through their collections.
Guests were first invited to explore an exhibit displaying the designers’ portfolios, which provided a behind-the-scenes look at their creative processes. The exhibit, captured through the lens of artist Bimpoman, gave life to the stories behind each designer’s work—of influences, inspirations, and dreams in the making. It was a prelude to the runway show, creating a conversation among the designers’ divergent yet interconnected visions.
SoFA Founder Amina Aranáz-Alunan spoke to the collective spirit of the night. “At SoFA, design is a serious endeavor,” she remarked. “Tonight, we witness the culmination of years of hard work—years spent embracing creativity, innovation, and boundless passion.”
In FOREGATHER, the diversity of design languages was clear. It wasn’t about one dominant narrative, but a collective of voices that shaped the night. From experimental textures to refined tailoring, the collections were proof of a generation unafraid to speak their truths and challenge what fashion can be.
The 20 designers—Anne Christine Tiu, Diana Lei Abanto, Nikka Bañaga, Gianne Belle Pabrua, Rogeline Uchi, Clyemae Suarez, Catherine Nicole Sta. Ana, Hanz Nabong, Sophia Isabella Reganit, Jilliane Theresa Louise Santos, and Veda Galagnara from the 4-Year BA program, along with Dexter Leil Monette Deala, Gio Leandro Nogales, Krystel Ayao, Kimberly Rios, Joshua Miguel Baysa, Neil Angielo Mindanao, Selina Tiu, Kyla Jin Gregorio, and Mara Sofia Imperial from the 2-Year program—revealed the landscape of new design in the Philippines. They showed what happens when diverse narratives come together, a stitch in the fabric of Filipino fashion.
FOREGATHER was a vivid showcase of what happens when creative languages collide—something bigger than any single vision. The event showed everyone these future leaders’ worlds, as stories collide and dreams take shape. Fashion’s language is clear.
